Who is
Mark Clayton
Mark began his hairdressing career in the UK in 1995 with the global brand Toni & Guy. During more than 20 years with the company, he achieved many milestones, including becoming the youngest International Artistic Director. He worked across all education courses and led the beginner’s course at the London Academy for six years. Mark traveled extensively, educating in over 30 countries worldwide. This experience led him to the USA, where he continued his work with Toni & Guy and helped launch the product line LABEL.M.
In 2016, Mark joined the renowned global brand KEVIN.MURPHY, where he continued his passion for education and mentoring while creating looks and cutting content for the company.
After stepping back to pursue a life on the road, Mark developed a fully immersive apprenticeship program for a high-end salon on the East Coast, which he continues to oversee.
Mark is also the owner of the salon STUDIO CLAYTON, where he has found a renewed passion for growing his team and educating assistants, while building a strong community of stylists in the surrounding areas.
